With the goal of raising community awareness about vision care and protection—especially among students who frequently interact with electronic devices—Sai Gon Bien Hoa Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Sonadezi College of Technology, organized the specialized seminar “Refractive Errors & Vision Improvement Solutions” on the afternoon of December 26, 2025. The core of the program was the specialized topic “Refractive Errors and Vision Improvement Solutions” presented directly by BS.CKII Tran Trong Duy. The main content focused on practical issues for students, including:
- Causes and signs of common refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism.
- The impact of high-intensity studying and frequent use of electronic devices on ocular health.
- Prevention and control methods for refractive errors suitable for the student age group.
- Introduction to modern, safe treatment solutions for long-term vision protection and improvement.
Beyond the professional presentation, the seminar created an open forum where students actively asked questions and received direct consultations from the doctor. Inquiries came from both students with existing refractive errors and those with healthy eyes, reflecting an increasing interest in vision health. These activities contribute to raising awareness, helping students proactively prevent and detect eye problems early, aiming for a healthy and well-rounded academic environment.
3. Partnering with the School to Protect Vision and Support Students in Difficulty
Demonstrating social responsibility and a spirit of accompanying the younger generation, Sai Gon Bien Hoa Eye Hospital awarded a scholarship worth 5,000,000 VND to Sonadezi College of Technology to support students facing difficult circumstances who strive for academic excellence.
