Beyond the professional presentation, the seminar created an open forum where students actively asked questions and received direct consultations from the doctor. Inquiries came from both students with existing refractive errors and those with healthy eyes, reflecting an increasing interest in vision health. These activities contribute to raising awareness, helping students proactively prevent and detect eye problems early, aiming for a healthy and well-rounded academic environment.

3. Partnering with the School to Protect Vision and Support Students in Difficulty

Demonstrating social responsibility and a spirit of accompanying the younger generation, Sai Gon Bien Hoa Eye Hospital awarded a scholarship worth 5,000,000 VND to Sonadezi College of Technology to support students facing difficult circumstances who strive for academic excellence. This humanitarian gesture spreads the practical concern of both the hospital and the school toward the student body.

Parallel to the seminar, free vision testing and eye consultations were conducted right at the hall, reflecting the reality of vision health in a modern learning environment. Recorded results showed:

  • Over 21% of participating students have moderate to severe refractive errors.
  • 12% of students suffer from severe refractive errors.
  • 9.4% are at mild to moderate levels.
  • Notably, 113 students (nearly 50%) had never undergone a periodic eye exam to monitor their vision status.

These figures serve as a significant warning about the risk of vision decline among students during their daily studies and activities.
